Etanetas — solid recognition in Poland

Šalčininkai-based Etanetas, Lithuania's fibre-optic internet pioneer, has received international recognition — the company won as many as two important awards in Poland. Both honours were given for deploying innovative technologies and making a significant contribution to the development of television and telecommunications.

TV SAT Magazyn, the longest-running monthly magazine in Poland, honoured Etanetas and the company's CEO Artur Stefanovič with the special "Diamond Antenna" award, which is given for an exceptional contribution to the development of the television and media market. Etanetas received the award for deploying innovative IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) television solutions, which in recent years has significantly contributed to the development of modern television services in Poland.

In addition, during the 32nd Inet Media Forum meeting in Warsaw — one of the most important events in Poland's telecommunications and internet services sector, bringing together hundreds of industry professionals, technology suppliers and decision-makers — Etanetas was also awarded for its special contribution to the development of IPTV in Poland.

As Etanetas founder and CEO A. Stefanovič says, such recognition is not only an encouragement but also a commitment to continue improving technologies and moving forward.

"The recognition we received is nothing other than the result of our team's many years of persistent and consistent work and aspiration to deploy the most advanced solutions. Quality, innovation and the trust we strive to earn from our customers, both in Poland and in Lithuania, have always been most important to us. We plan to continue investing in modern technologies and especially to expand the availability of services in Lithuania. Etanetas plans to keep investing heavily in technological renewal and the integration of smarter features by constantly tracking and taking into account global IPTV trends. At present, the Etanetas IPTV service, using fibre-optic internet, ensures exceptionally high video and audio quality and convenient use — it allows viewing programme schedules, scheduling recordings and using time-shift viewing functions.

In early 2025, the company installed next-generation server infrastructure with four times more powerful processors, allowing electricity consumption to be reduced by almost half. In addition, it plans to soon offer internet services with speeds up to 10 Gb/s, which are especially useful for users who watch 4K or 8K resolution content, use virtual or augmented reality technologies, or have smart homes.

Etanetas is an internet and TV services company that has been operating for more than 20 years and began providing internet connectivity in 2004–2005. Just a year later the company became the first in Lithuania to offer fibre-optic internet to the residents of Šalčininkai, becoming a true pioneer of fibre connectivity in the country. Starting from the town network, the company consistently expanded its activities — into the district, and later beyond its borders. Eight years ago Etanetas expanded its services to Skaidiškės in the Vilnius district — Rudamina, Salininkai and Pagiriai, as well as all the multi-unit buildings in Naujoji Vilnia.
